RICK COAD

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Coad is our Chief Operating Officer and is based out of our Birmingham, Alabama office. Rick is a 40-year finance industry veteran with extensive C-Suite experience in commercial banking, healthcare financing, corporate finance, and private debt and equity raises. 

Mr. Coad is the CEO and founder of Coad Consulting, and a co-founder of SLK Capital Advisors, a boutique broker dealer specializing in debt and equity raises through the private placement market. 

A talented deal maker, he has successfully formed relationships and secured financing with clients throughout the Mid-South and Midwest on both the buy side and sell side. His impressive track record includes brokered deals through D.A. Davidson, Duncan Williams, Raymond James, Morgan Keegan, AmSouth Bank, First American Bank, Nat City Investments, Nat City Bank and Merchants National Bank & Trust. 

His career highlights include - Senior banker on municipal and state debt aggregating more than $20 billion. Co-creator of the ongoing Hoosier Equipment Lease Program (HELP) for the Indiana Bond Bank. Creator of the taxable floating rate alternative lending product for First American and AmSouth Bank which generated more than $3 million in annual recurring revenues.

Mr. Coad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Belmont University, and an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute. 

ANTHONY MCMILLAN
Chief Technology Officer

Anthony McMillan serves as the company’s CTO. In his role, he supports the companies field personnel with all phones, computer and email related issues. In addition, he is responsible for the management, strategy and execution of the IT infrastructure for the company to include overseeing technical projects in alignment with organizational goals, directing the effective delivery of networks, the development, and the disaster recovery systems and processes of the company.
 

Anthony is a highly skilled and seasoned Telecom & Network Engineer with over 16 years of experience having supported local, national and international clients located throughout the Atlanta metro area and the Southeast.

Mr. McMillan attended Belmont Abbey College and was a 2-year player on the baseball team.

JOSEPH F. PINTO, P.E.

Senior Vice President – Design, Development and Construction 

Mr. Pinto provides input on the planning and execution of all new construction, renovation and expansion project loan requests received by Southern Capital Funding Network.  Joseph works closely with our underwriters to ensure our commercial construction loan requests are in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agency guidelines. 

Joseph is a seasoned commercial construction builder, with over 15 years' experience designing, coordinating and constructing multi-million-dollar hospitality projects, convenience stores, retail buildings, interior fit-out, and other civil design projects.  Joseph has extensive experience in negotiating contracts and regulatory impacts between sub-contractors, owners, and suppliers and developing and managing construction schedules and preparing cost and material estimates.  

Mr. Pinto is the President of the commercial general contracting company GSP, Inc.  Based in Atlanta, and operating throughout the Southeast, GSP, Inc. has successfully provided general contracting services and construction of multiple hospitality projects to include a 100-unit Home 2 Suites in Kingsland, Georgia, a 70-unit Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Springfield, Tennesse and a 100-unit Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Savannah, Georgia.  Other hospitality projects include a 74-unit Quality Inn and Suites, in Warner Robins, Georgia and the ground up construction of 74-unit Hampton Inn hotel in Kingsland, Georgia.

Jospeh is a highly accomplished engineer and a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering.  Mr. Pinto holds professional certifications as a Professional Engineer (PE) and as a Qualifying Agent for general contracting in Georgia and Tennessee.
