Mr. Melendez is a seasoned executive and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience spanning private equity, venture capital, high-growth startups, wealth management, and industrial operations. Throughout his career, he has led transformative growth initiatives, structured complex capital raises, managed M&A transactions, and helped scale businesses across a range of sectors.  

In his current role as Regional Vice President for Florida, Manny leads relationship development efforts throughout the state, connecting entrepreneurs and small-to-mid-sized enterprises with non-traditional financing solutions.  His focus includes bridge loans, specialty funding, and growth capital strategies tailored to help businesses scale effectively. Known for his financial acumen and consultative approach, he is a trusted partner to clients navigating evolving capital needs. 

 In addition to his leadership role, Manny has worked closely with a wide range of technology-driven ventures—including companies in fintech, health-tech, and logistics SaaS—as an advisor on investor relations, go-to-market strategies, and operational scaling. He has helped structure multi-million-dollar funding rounds and served in interim leadership roles such as Fractional COO and Executive Director to support operational turnaround and growth execution.  

Manny previously led an out-of-home media company through a successful asset sale to a strategic buyer and spent over a decade advising high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional investors on risk management and long-term portfolio strategies within a global financial institution.  With extensive experience in cross-border business development—particularly between the mainland U.S., Puerto Rico, and LATAM—Manny is known for identifying key growth inflection points and creating actionable roadmaps to support founders, boards, and investors.  He also dedicated a decade to serving on the advisory board of a prominent university entrepreneurship program, where he mentored aspiring business leaders and supported initiatives that foster innovation and higher education. 

Mr. Melendez holds both an BA in Finance and an MBA from Inter American University in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

                                                                                        ROSA RUIZ-BUNKER

                                                                                      Area Market Manager 

Rosa serves as our Area Market Manager in Orlando, primarily focusing on working with small businesses and commercial real estate owner operators throughout the central Florida market.

Growing up in a family of small business owners fueled Rosa’s passion for helping entrepreneurs succeed. Rosa has been dedicated to supporting small business clients by guiding them and helping them access the capital they need to grow.

Ms. Ruiz-Bunker is a bilingual (English/Spanish) former Manager and Vice President at TD Bank in Orlando with over 24-years of banking and lending experience. In addition to her role with TD bank, she has held leadership roles with Banco Popular and Harbor Community Bank. 

Her leadership and impact to the local community have been recognized with several prestigious industry awards, including multiple CEO Leadership Awards and the “Vision in Action” Award. Rosa has also been honored by the Hispanic community in Orlando with various recognitions for her service and commitment. She remains actively involved in local chambers of commerce and nonprofit organizations, continuing to uplift and empower others in business and community development.

Rosa holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

                                                                                       JACK “BUBBA” ROBY

                                                                                      Area Market Manager 

Mr. Roby is our Area Market Manager on the Florida Gulf Coast concentrating on servicing the Destin, Ft. Walton, Panama City, and Pensacola markets. Bubba has over 25 years of experience working with small and medium sized companies helping them grow their business by advising them on options for funding growth by comparing the costs and benefits of traditional lines of credit, personal assets and A/R based solutions such as factoring and asset-based lending facilities.

Prior to joining Southern Capital Funding Network, Bubba held the titles of Vice President – Federal National, Vice President of Sales – Marquette Transportation Finance, Vice President of Business Development – Transport Financial Solutions, and VP & Business Development Officer – Bibby Transportation Finance.

Mr. Roby is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

                                                                                              MIKE BLEVINS

                                                                        Area Vice President/Market Manager 

Mr. Blevins serves as our Area Vice President/Market Manager in the Jacksonville market as well as a member of our Advisory Board.

Mike is a highly experienced commercial real estate lending professional and real estate developer with over 30 years of combined experience in commercial banking, lending and real estate development.

Prior to joining Southern Capital Funding Network, Mike held several high-level positions within the commercial banking industry to include Vice President – Fifth Third Bank, Senior Vice President – Bank Atlantic, Senior Vice President – Barnett Bank and Senior Vice President – Security Pacific Bank. He has worked in the private sector as CFO – Group 12, and President/Owner of Real Estate Solutions, Inc.

Mike is an ex-college athlete, having played 4 years varsity for the Jacksonville University’s basketball team and was a starter on the NCAA Finalist Team that was runner-up for the national championship.

Mike is a graduate of Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management.

                                                                                           PAUL TSCHIEDER

                                                                                        Area Market Manager 

Mr. Tschieder is our Area Market Manager for Tallahassee and the southern Georgia markets. Paul started his career in lending in 2004 as a residential mortgage loan officer, and since then has held lending positions within Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Bank of America and loanDepot. 

Paul works with investors on growing and managing their real estate portfolio. With over 20 years of personal real estate investment and property management experience he has learned to successfully navigate this highly competitive market and generate continuous positive cash flow from these assets.

In 2010 Paul expanded his lending experience into the private equity market to meet the credit needs of North Florida’s business community. Working with a group of investors he originated, underwrote and presented business loan proposals to the credit committee.

Paul is a Graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.

                                                                                             DON MITCHELL

                                                                       Area Vice President/Area Market Manager 

Don serves as our Area Vice President/Market Manager for the Tampa Bay/St. Pete markets and has over 25 years of experience in commercial and residential lending, business to business sales and account management, and transportation and marine financing.

Mr. Mitchell spent seven years as Managing Partner of South Shore Mortgage and Funding which provided prime and subprime mortgages to a referral network of over 100 realtors. Under Don’s leadership, the company consistently generated over $350 million in yearly volume.   Don has previously held positions as Director, Best Commercial Funding, Regional Finance Manager for the Hartford Group, as well as the Sale & Finance Manager for Sports USA Marine.

Don is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications and The College of DuPage. 

Don is also a USCG 25 Ton Boat Captain.
