KURT JACKSON

Regional Vice President – (see bio)

Mr. Jackson serves as our Regional Vice President in the Central Plains Region and is responsible for managing our Area Market Managers and Business Development Representatives in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana as well as leading all business development activities and client relationship support throughout the Central Plains market.  Mr. Jackson has also previously served as one of Southern Capital’s Advisory Board members.

Mr. Jackson is the founder and owner of KJ Financial, a Midwest-based Retirement Lifestyle Planning Firm dedicated to empowering affluent pre-retirees and retirees in crafting their ideal retirement lifestyle. With a focus on creating confidence in spending retirement wealth, Kurt helps clients navigate their financial futures, regardless of market fluctuations or longevity.

Before establishing KJ Financial, Kurt garnered extensive experience in the residential mortgage lending sector, where he devoted 20 years to mastering the intricacies of mortgage planning. As a Certified Mortgage Planner, he guided clients in leveraging their home and financing structures as foundational elements of their overall financial strategies. 

For the last 12 years of his lending career, he successfully operated his own mortgage planning firm. In 2010, Kurt made a pivotal transition from mortgage planning to Retirement Lifestyle Planning, where he now emphasizes the importance of protecting and growing wealth in a tax-efficient manner.  Kurt’s approach integrates the right amount of Protected Lifetime Income with legacy-building strategies, providing clients with a License to Spend during retirement. This innovative perspective allows his clients to fully enjoy their desired lifestyles without financial worry, equipping them with the tools and knowledge necessary to thrive in their golden years.

Kurt holds a degree from Northwest Missouri State University and is licensed in Life and Health Insurance across multiple states, further solidifying his commitment to serving his clients with integrity and expertise.
