Stephanie Parsons – (see bio)
Senior Vice President
Stephanie Parsons serves as our Senior Vice President for the Northeast Region and overseas all the business development activities and client relationship support throughout the Northeast market. With over twenty-years of executive management experience she is responsible for managing our Vice President/Area Market Managers and Business Development Managers in the states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
Stephanie is a seasoned business advisor with extensive experience in commercial banking and business development. Stephanie has served in leadership roles with Truist Bank and PNC Bank and has managed multimillion-dollar commercial loan portfolios. Having conducted numerous complex risk and credit analyses, this insider perspective allows her to help clients achieve financial success.
Beyond traditional banking, Stephanie has successfully advised companies nationwide on tax incentive strategies, alternative financing, and capital solutions. Her international business background, including participation in U.S. State Department Trade Missions, further strengthens her ability to identify growth opportunities. Known for her strategic thinking and results-driven approach, Stephanie is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs, business owners, and organizations navigate financial challenges, secure capital, and position themselves for long-term success.
She holds a Master of Business Administration in International Business from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of South Carolina, and additional pre-law studies from American University.

Karen Booth – (see bio)
Senior Vice President – Market Manager
Mrs. Booth serves as our Senior Vice President/Market Manager for the Coastal Carolina and New York/Connecticut markets and is responsible for new business development activities and client business support throughout the East Coast. With over 35 years of commercial banking experience, Karen has held various senior management positions that include Relationship Portfolio Manager for both small and large businesses, Credit underwriter, Credit approval officer, and New Business Development Officer. Karen’s client base is very diverse, consisting of manufacturers, distributors, service businesses, retailers and real estate developers.
Prior to joining Southern Capital Funding, Karen was a Director and Commercial Banking Team Leader with a leading national bank in the Northeast market covering Connecticut and upstate New York. Additionally, she held several positions at Citizen’s Bank (formerly State Street Bank of Boston) and other regional banks in the Northeast, that ultimately merged into Fleet Bank/Bank of America.
Karen’s expertise is in building strong business relationships externally with clients and business professionals and she takes a consultative approach to find financing solutions for her clients.
Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairfield University, and she earned her MBA from The University of New Haven.
