Managing Partner & Chief Capital Officer (CCO)

Mr. Coad is our Chief Capital Officer and is based out of our Birmingham, Alabama office. Rick is a 40-year finance industry veteran with extensive C-Suite experience in commercial banking, healthcare financing, corporate finance, and private debt and equity raises. Mr. Coad is the CEO and founder of Coad Consulting LLC, and a co-founder of SLK Capital Advisors, a boutique broker dealer specializing in debt and equity raises through the private placement market. A talented deal maker, he has successfully formed relationships and secured financing with clients throughout the Mid-South and Midwest on both the buy side and sell side. His impressive track record includes brokered deals through D.A. Davidson, Duncan Williams, Raymond James, Morgan Keegan, AmSouth Bank, First American Bank, Nat City Investments, Nat City Bank and Merchants National Bank & Trust. His career highlights include – Senior banker on municipal and state debt aggregating more than $20 billion. Co-creator of the ongoing Hoosier Equipment Lease Program (HELP) for the Indiana Bond Bank. Creator of the taxable floating rate alternative lending product for First American and AmSouth Bank which generated more than $3 million in annual recurring revenues. Mr. Coad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Belmont University, and an MBA from the Jack Welch Management Institute.
