LeRoy Thompson is a business and community leader in East Tennessee and the
founder, president, and CEO of LeRoy Thompson Consultants (LTC), a firm specializing
in real estate and community development. Through LTC, he has led the development,
design, and management of a wide range of projects, including retail centers,
healthcare facilities, residential housing, and commercial developments. His work
includes both private ventures and projects completed on behalf of local governments,
nonprofits, and corporate clients.

Mr. Thompson’s company has received statewide and local recognition, including being
featured in a Tennessee Governor’s Economic Development Guide, finalist honors for
the Knoxville Chamber Minority Business of the Year Pinnacle Award, and multiple
Knoxville Beautification Project awards.

LeRoy also served as Regional Director for the Tennessee Department of Economic
and Community Development, where he led 33 major projects that generated over $1
billion in capital investment and created thousands of jobs across East Tennessee.
In addition to his business leadership, Mr. Thompson has held executive roles in
marketing, sales, and nonprofit organizations. He has served on numerous boards,
including the Knoxville Chamber, Knoxville Education Foundation, University of
Tennessee Cancer Institute, and Leadership Knoxville, among others. His work has
earned him recognition for his commitment to community service, particularly supporting
underserved populations.

Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts from Penn State University and a Master of Arts
in Ethics and Leadership. He is also a former Penn State football standout and played in
the National Football League as a running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, New
England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He credits much of his leadership approach and motivational speaking to lessons
learned from Hall of Fame coaches throughout his football career.
