David Speaks leads Southern Capital Funding Network’s Southeast Region, expanding SCFN’s presence and connecting business owners, investors, developers, and referral partners with commercial financing solutions throughout the Southeast. With more than 30 years of experience in commercial banking, lending, financial services, and business development, David has served as a City Executive, Commercial Lender, and Vice President with multiple commercial banks to include Tri Stone Community Bank, Lexington State Bank, BB&;T and Wachovia Bank. His
expertise includes commercial real estate, construction, investment-property, and challenging-credit financing.

Previously, David worked as a Financial Consultant with Smith Barney, building an investment practice exceeding $46 million in assets under management. He has also developed extensive multi-state relationships with business owners, professionals, dealers, and referral partners.

At SCFN, David takes a consultative, relationship-driven approach, working with bankers, brokers, accountants, advisors, investors, and developers to identify creative capital solutions through SCFN’s lending network. His banking background gives him insight into both borrower objectives and lender credit considerations.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations with a concentration in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He focuses on building long-term referral partnerships and providing responsive, creative financing solutions throughout the Southeast.
