Mrs. Booth serves as our Senior Vice President for the companies Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program and supports new business development activities and client support throughout the Savannah market and throughout the Georgia coastal region.

With over 35 years of commercial banking experience, Karen has held various senior management positions that include Relationship; Portfolio Manager for both small and large businesses, Credit underwriter, Credit approval officer, and New Business Development Officer.  Karen’s client base is very diverse, consisting of manufacturers, distributors, service businesses, retailers and real estate developers.

Prior to joining Southern Capital Funding, Karen was a Director and Commercial Banking Team Leader with a leading national bank in the Northeast market covering Connecticut and upstate New York.  Additionally, she held several positions at Citizen’s Bank (formerly State Street Bank of Boston) and other regional banks in the Northeast, that ultimately merged into Fleet Bank/Bank of America.

Karen’s expertise is in building strong business relationships externally, with clients and business professionals and she takes a consultative approach to find financing solutions for her clients.
Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Fairfield University and she earned her MBA from The University of New Haven.
